We do offer several dishes that vegetarian diners will enjoy. Our Veggie Burger, Original Caesar Salad, Fire-Grilled Artichokes, and our Chef’s Daily Soup all come without any meats. Also, vegetarian diners may ask their servers not to include meat, chicken, and fish on certain entreés. Our side items are also meatless: French Fries, Southern Coleslaw, Broccoli, Black Beans & Rice, Orzo & Wild Rice, Smashed Potatoes, Not Your Ordinary Mac & Cheese, Loaded Baked Potato, and Daily Vegetable.

Yes. We ask that you don’t wear your regular house t-shirt, sandals, and sweats to eat at J. Alexander’s. Also, we consider tank tops, overly provocative clothing, or clothing with offensive or profane language or images too informal for the dining experience we plan to provide. We suggest collared shirts and closed-toed shoes for gentlemen.

Yes. The J. Alexander’s on 11471 Metcalf Ave. in Overland Park, Kansas, has ample on-site parking directly adjacent to the restaurant on all sides and many additional spots, one or two auto rows beyond those. There are also several spots and ramps very close to the door for patrons with mobility issues.
