Fried Chicken Ingredients and Sourcing Info
Chicken Tenders, short for Chicken Tenderloins, are skinless chicken breasts cut into strips. At J. Alexander’s, we only use fresh chicken, never frozen, cut in-house daily, for Mr. Jack’s Crispy Chicken Platter. We season the boneless white meat with salt and black pepper (and some other secret spices), dredge those tenders in eggs and flour breading to keep in the really nice flavor, and give them a quick trip into hot vegetable oil. Your chicken strips will be fried to perfection and delivered piping hot to your table.

Also, if you struggle with unclear and blurry vision, the Vitamin A in fried chicken is a great source of retinol and beta-carotene. And, the vitamin B5 and tryptophan—and enjoyment—you get from our fried chicken recipe will help relieve stress and make you feel better.
Fried Chicken Customer Review
When I went to J. Alexander’s, I had the crispy chicken platter, and it was so yummy. And that’s coming from a fried chicken connoisseur who loves Crown Fried Chicken and my own air fried chicken dishes. At J.’s, the honey mustard they serve for dipping is so good! It came with coleslaw and fries, so plenty of food. The service is amazing. Our drinks were always full, even before we finished the last. This is my fav place to go!

Best Drinks and Sides with Fried Chicken
Mr. Jack’s Crispy Chicken Platter is a South Carolina low-country fried chicken breast recipe with french fries and Southern coleslaw. If you’d like a carb that’s not fried, the smashed potatoes topped with parsley are a delicious side. Or sub in an Alex Salad for an even cooler choice. A mixed-drink favorite to add sweetness to the savory chicken pieces in Mr. Jack’s Platter is the Citrus Crush, made with Ten To One White Rum, Wheatley Vodka, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice. If you prefer wine, a medium-bodied merlot like Markham Napa Valley, served by both the glass and the bottle, will complement the strong flavors of the fried chicken and sides.
