Filet Mignon

There is a reason the Filet Mignon is one of the most popular cuts of beef at J. Alexander’s. Always tender, always juicy, the 10 oz masterpiece is hand-cut by our chefs daily, then cooked on a wood fire any way you like it. Served with our signature Béarnaise sauce and a side of creamy mashed potatoes, your new favorite is available for order now.

Popular Types of Filet Mignon

Mild and flavorful, the filet mignon is one of the most famous cuts of steak. It is known for being a smaller cut that offers leaner meat that is easy to grill without overcooking. Popular types of this cut are those that come from the mid-west, due to their ideal marbling and filets that are aged for a distinct flavor profile.

Filet Mignon Ingredients and Sourcing Info

A good filet mignon starts with high-end beef. We source ours from the mid-west, where the mixed seasons provide better marbling. Our beef is only corn-fed, too. These exacting standards help deliver an exceptional piece of beef that gets hand-cut daily by our trained chefs. We also age our beef for a minimum of 21 days. This process helps elevate both flavors and tenderness.

Filet Mignon Health Benefits

A lean cut of American beef, like the Filet Mignon served at J. Alexander’s, is an excellent source of protein. Steak is also known to provide health-promoting nutrients like iron, vitamin B, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium.

Filet Mignon Customer Review

Cooked rare, just like I asked. My filet mignon was tender and juicy. You can’t find flavors like this at any steakhouse, and that sauce they put on it is something else. I am coming back soon for round 2!
