J. Alexander’s takes the classic American burger and turns it on its head with our Steak Burger. With fresh ground beef tenderloin and ribeye hand-pattied to order, Tillamook cheddar, grilled onions, and Kiawah Island dressing, our steak burger is the natural elevation to the classic old-fashioned burger.
A steak burger is much like a regular burger but uses higher quality ground steak meat for the patty instead of ground beef. The steak patty is composed of meat ground from a single cut of steak, rather than formed from leftover cuts of meat like a typical beef patty. Popular types of steak burgers use high-quality, lean cuts of meat like ribeye or sirloin. Our steak burger is a blend of beef tenderloin and ribeye, all freshly ground daily by our chefs.
At J. Alexander’s, all our beef is sourced from 100% American mid-west plants. This mid-western beef is exposed to a wider variety of seasons than cows from hotter climates, leading to a delicious marbling absent in beef raised in other locations. Our cheddar is sourced directly from Tillamook Dairy in Oregon, and our delicious burger baguettes are baked in-house. Ask your server about the sourcing of our vegetables, as this information varies by location.

I had the most delicious steak burger at J. Alexander’s! It was cooked perfectly to my specifications, and the grilled onion was a nice touch. Service was beyond outstanding too, will definitely be coming back!
